The Midnight Club Season 2 Renewed or Cancelled
According to Netflix’s announcement, there will not be a second season of The Midnight Club.
Based on Christopher Pike’s novel of the same name, The Midnight Club is a Netflix Original adolescent horror series developed by Mike Flanagan. This is Mike Flanagan’s sixth production for Netflix, and his fourth Netflix Original series.
The drama, developed by Mike Flanagan and Leah Fong, centres on eight kids with terminal illnesses who live together at Brightcliffe Hospice and gather together every night at midnight to share ghost stories.
Nearly two months after its debut, The Wrap reported that Netflix has decided not to renew the show due to low ratings.
This young adult horror series did not do as well as the other episodes in the “Flanaverse,” despite the fact that it was Netflix’s sixth most popular show worldwide in October.
Following the lives of Ilonka, Kevin, Anya, Sandra, Spencer, Cheri, Natsuki, and Amesh, the drama is based on Christopher Pike’s 1994 novel The Midnight Club. One of them makes a bargain with the others that whomever dies first will be in charge of passing on messages from the hereafter.
If the series doesn’t come back for a second season, Flanagan has promised to provide the answers online.
At the outset of the piece, he expressed his displeasure with Netflix’s decision to drop plans for a second season of The Midnight Club. For this reason, I’m treating this blog as our “second season,” filling you in on what may have been, the fates of your favourite characters, and the resolutions to any loose ends from the first season.
