Mitski to Headline All Points East Festival in London

Acclaimed indie singer-songwriter Mitski has been announced as the final headliner for the 2024 All Points East music festival in London’s Victoria Park. The festival, set to take place from August 16-25, will feature a diverse lineup of artists across multiple genres.

Mitski, known for her introspective lyrics and captivating stage presence, will headline the festival on Friday, August 23rd.

The 33-year-old Japanese-American artist has quickly risen to fame in the indie music scene, with critically acclaimed albums like Puberty 2 and Be the Cowboy. Her most recent album, The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, released in September 2023, has garnered widespread praise for its raw emotion and poetic songwriting.

Joining Mitski on the August 23rd lineup are LCD Soundsystem, Jai Paul, Pixies, Floating Points, Jockstrap, Nation Of Language, Sofia Kourtesis, Eyedress, and Vagabon. The festival, sponsored by Uber One this year, will take place across two weekends with free community-focused entertainment in between.

Previously announced headliners include rapper Loyle Carner on August 17th, along with special guests Nas, Ezra Collective, Sainté, Joe James, Enny, and Navy Blue. More artists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Tickets for All Points East 2024 will go on sale December 6th at 10 a.m. local time, with general admission starting at £54.95 ($69.55) plus booking fees. VIP packages will also be available starting at £99.95 ($126.50) plus fees.

“I always think of myself as an independent woman who doesn’t need anybody,” Mitski said in a 2018 interview with NPR. “I was completely, unexpectedly crushed by the fact that I not only didn’t know anyone in the country but it was the holidays, and everyone’s with their family and I wasn’t.”
