The Washington Redskins picked Daniel up as an undrafted free agent, but they ended up waiving the 6-foot-1 athlete. Soon after, the New Orleans Saints signed him to be their backup quarterback. With the Saints, Daniel’s career was a roller coaster of ups and downs. He only lasted a month before being released to make room for kicker Garrett Hartley. Four days later, he was re-signed, only to be released once more a month later to make room for cornerback Chris McAlister. The Saints added Daniel to their practise squad three days later. A second time, he was cut from the squad, only to be re-signed two days later with the exact same responsibilities.
