GREE is heavily involved in the main Avalanche network and the gaming-specific Subnets. More than a dozen Avalanche validator nodes are under its command. Additionally, GREE is the owner of Avalanche’s native token, AVAX. For any Japanese corporation, this is a watershed moment.
With a history spanning several decades, BLRD has a proven track record of producing hit video games. It has collaborated with a number of major industry heavyweights, including Square Enix, Sega, Konami, and Bandai Namco. BLRD is known for producing games like Naruto and Final Fantasy: Mobile based on popular Japanese anime properties.
In the wake of a decade of developing popular Web2 games, BLRD is moving towards the next generation of interactive content. With its new alliance with Ava Labs, BLRD is set to explode onto the blockchain gaming scene. Technical, commercial, marketing, and ecosystem assistance will all be provided by the Avalanche network to BLRD.
Director of BLRD Eiji Araki said:
The possibilities of the Avalanche network and its ecosystem fascinate me. As we have done with web2 games, we will release a whole new game that fans will love for years to come.
Work on Future Projects Together with Ava Labs
BLRD will collaborate with Ava Labs and the Avalanche Foundation on a number of projects, in addition to game production and distribution on Avalance. This entails combining forces with Blizzard’s Avalanche Fund. Ed Chang weighs in on the subject.
According to Ava Labs’ Head of Gaming:
GREE has been in the game development business for almost ten years, and their titles have won over players with its classic IP. We’re overjoyed that they’ve decided to work together to strengthen the Avalanche gaming chain and take it to new heights. If GREE wants to become a Web3 gaming giant, Ava Labs has all it needs to do so.
Several DApps have been built on Avalanche, a Layer-1 alternative to Ethereum. In terms of market capitalization, it was among the top 10 cryptocurrencies in 2021.
