iOS 15.5 is the latest update for the iPhone from Apple. After going through several beta versions, the iOS update is now available for everyone to download. The update that comes after iOS 15.4 makes a few small changes to apps that set the stage for bigger iPhone updates in the future (maybe in the form of iOS 16). Instead of big new features like Universal Control and Face ID that works with masks, iOS 15.5 updates apps like Apple Cash, Photo Memories, and Podcasts.
Here’s everything you need to know about ios 15.5, from when it will come out to what new features it will have.

What is the new feature in new ios 15.5?
iOS 15.5 is now out, and based on the changes made in this update, it looks like Apple is ready to move on to iOS 16.
After a period of beta testing, the new update is now available to most people. Most of the changes are behind the scenes, and only a few are visible to the user. That’s a big change from previous iOS 15 updates, which added a lot of new features. The last major update to Apple’s phone software, ios 15.4, added features like the ability to use Face ID while wearing a mask and a new voice for Siri.
Still, iOS 15.5 will bring about a few big changes. Here’s a quick look at what the update brings.
Apple Money
The most important change in 15.5 is that Apple Cash now has Send and Request buttons. With these buttons in iOS 15.5, you can send and receive money directly from your Apple Cash card, which saves you a few steps.
Apple Podcasts
With iOS 15.5, you can now change the settings in your podcast app to make better use of the space on your phone. The setting lets you choose how many episodes you want to keep on your phone, and it can also delete older episodes for you.
“Sensitive locations” in Photo Memories.
The Memories feature in Photos in iOS 15.5 has been changed. Photos won’t suggest memories from “sensitive locations” anymore, which 9to5Mac says are all related to the Holocaust. Apple can add more places to that list in the future.
iTunes Pass is now known as Apple Balance.
The iTunes Pass feature in Wallet is now called Apple Balance, which is another change. You can now find your Apple Balance on a separate card in Apple Wallet, just like a credit card.
Classical Apple
In iOS 15.5, there is no Apple Classical app. But MacRumors found references to a new Apple Classical app in the 15.5 beta. This app seems to be the end result of Apple’s purchase of classical music streaming service Primephonic last year. A separate app for classical music could be added to iOS in the future.
More help with SportsKit
iOS 15.5 also adds more support for SportsKit, and Apple is adding live baseball to its library of content.
